OUR IMPACT THROUGH EVENTS

At Justice Revived Foundation, we believe that meaningful change is driven not only through policy and programmes but also through direct engagement with communities, institutions, and individuals. Our events are designed to educate, advocate, support, and empower. Each activity is a reflection of our mission in action—bridging the gap between law and lived experience. Below are some of our key events to date:

Visit to Nsawam Female Prison

This outreach was a heartfelt expression of solidarity and support for incarcerated women, many of whom face neglect, isolation, and a lack of legal representation. During the visit, our team provided essential supplies, legal advice, and emotional support, reinforcing the humanity and dignity of each woman behind bars. It was also a moment to gather insights and strengthen our advocacy for more compassionate and rehabilitative prison policies.

Legal Clinic at the Prisons

In line with our belief in access to justice for all, we organised a Legal Aid Clinic at the Nsawam Female Prisons, offering pro bono legal services to inmates. Many of these women had limited knowledge of their legal rights or had spent years on remand without proper representation. Our legal team provided case reviews, legal counselling, and assistance with court processes, bringing hope and clarity to many who had long been forgotten by the system.

Advocacy on Gender-Based Violence at Axim Senior High School

This school-based advocacy programme was aimed at educating and sensitising young people on the realities and dangers of gender-based violence (GBV). Through interactive sessions, discussions, and storytelling, we empowered students, especially girls, to understand their rights, speak up against abuse, and become change agents within their schools and communities. The event also engaged school authorities on the importance of establishing safe reporting mechanisms and supporting survivors.

Visit to the Shelter for Abused Children

Our visit to the shelter for abused children was both an act of compassion and a commitment to long-term advocacy. The team delivered emotional support, care items, and educational resources to children who have survived trauma and abuse. This visit reinforced our ongoing efforts to advocate for better child protection systems and stronger community-based safety nets for vulnerable children.

Symposium on Human Rights and Social Justice

Our landmark Symposium on Human Rights and Social Justice, themed “From Shadows to Solutions: Tackling Abuse Through Law, Faith, Culture and Education”, brought together faith leaders, legal professionals, educators, policymakers, and survivors. The event was a platform for bold conversations, shared learning, and collaborative solutions to the complex challenges of abuse and inequality in Ghana. It reaffirmed our belief in a multisectoral approach to human rights, where communities work together to create lasting change.

Each of these events marks a step forward in our journey to restore dignity, protect the vulnerable, and build a more just and compassionate society. And we are just getting started.
